Friske's Orchard Market is OPEN all-year-'round, offering many festive celebrations to commemorate the seasons, including:  spring planting, summer vacations, fall harvesting, major annual holidays and more.   Our Festive Events are especially joyous occasions for the Friske team as we share the "fruits" of our many endeavors for your enjoyment.

Our festive seasonal events and celebrations are often centered around various foods (imagine that!), and usually include entertainment / music, specialty foods, guided tractor-wagon rides, a barnyard petting zoo, shopping, and a healthy dose of PLAYING or just plain RELAXING!  For us, there is nothing quite like putting smiles on the faces of our friends and visitors with some good old-fashioned fun.

Festive Event General Guidelines and Information 

• Before Arrival

  • Dress Weather Appropriate - It can be quite a bit cooler out here, next to Lake Michigan, especially in September and October.   Please dress warmly, comfortably and according to the weather.
     
  • Cameras - Bring along a camera if possible (we have them available for purchase in the market).  A picture really can be worth a thousand words!
     
  • Directions / How To Get Here - Our Farm Market is easy to find.  For directions and a map, please see our How To Get Here section under Contact Us.
     
  • Name Tags? - If you're visiting with a large group or just feeling overtly friendly, feel free to wear name or ID tags.  This is very helpful to our staff and provides an extra measure of safety for younger visitors.
     

• Upon Arrival

  • Large Vehicle & Additional Car Parking - Large vehicle parking (e.g., Buses, Motor Homes, Trailers), as well as any overflow car parking, is located down the hill behind the Farm Market. Enter via the north driveway and proceed south through the parking lot towards the animal pen. Turn right at the end of the barn between the animal pen and the barn. Proceed down the hill and turn right onto the gravel / grass to park.
     
  • Shopping Opportunities! - Shopping opportunities include the Fruit Stand, Old-World Bakery, Orchard Cafe, old-fashioned General Store, and Country Haus.   Some featured items include unique grocery products; specialty foods; gift baskets; decor for home, garden, patio, holiday & more; toys, puzzles, books and games; seasonal shopping including a Christmas room; jewelry; bath, body & beauty products; cherry juice and CherryFlex®  health oriented products; and much more.
     
  • Bad Weather - If the weather isn't cooperating when planning your visit, we have plenty of fun and indoor activities at Friske's, so feel free to come visit anyway. And of course, fresh homemade doughnuts and hot apple cider will brighten any dreary day!
     
  • Cancellations - If you've registered for a private or special registered event and need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us in advance | as soon as possible so that we may act accordingly.
